Single White Drop Cloth Chair

Woo hoo!  My other chair is now covered!  No more naked chairs in my house, just naked people.
Remember earlier this week, I showed you one chair my mom and I had finished, but then we ran out of drop cloth.  I bought more, laundered it, and she finished the sewing for me this week.  I love her, and even if she couldn’t sew me slipcovers I would still love her!  In case you don’t feel like clicking on the link, here is the before of the chairs….

Trust me, they were grosser in person- stained, smelly, but the actual foam was in great shape.
Here is the same area now…

Much better!  And I even found these cute little gray pillows at TJ Maxx for 12.99 each!  I was planning on making pillows, but for that price, store bought works for me!

I had talked also about getting these curtains from Urban Outfitters…

but they didn’t get very good reviews on line, and I was worried about the color being too bright as many said it was.  So, I have decided on curtains, but am waiting for a sale, and will show you then.  But I will tell you one thing…
I debated patterned pillows, and these boldly patterned curtains, but I think when it comes down to it, I am much more of a texture person versus pattern.  I look around my house, and I see lots of solid colors, but I like varying the finish, and textures.  The rooms I enjoy being in most are all like this, and the patterns they do have tend to be subtle and contain only 2 colors.  So there is a big hint as to what my curtains will probably look like!
I am sharing here today:

Your chairs looks great, Cassie! Fun pillows, too. They look much more expensive than 12.99 each. Good find! I like the gathering on them. I’m excited to see what you decide for your curtains.

I’ve seen the curtains in person. They are not to bright, not even close to “bright” or “neon” or “loud” They are vivid, but I would actually say they are less bright than the photo. for sure.

Dont be scared! or you’ll have nekked windows =) hahaha! I’m so glad you put some darn clothes on that chair already! <3

    love ya!

Oh, I love the drop-cloth! It looks fabulous. And those pillows–must have them for myself! I agree-I’m all about texture. My rooms are very simple as far as color is concerned. I like to add color through accessories. I guess that might make me a bit boring, but hey–it’s my house! 😉

I love the idea of using dropcloths for slipcovers. I have a friend who used them for curtains in her camper. I’ll be redoing my screened porch this spring and think I’ll use drop covers for curtains. Your chairs turned out so cute.

Very pretty! I Love the curtains, too, but whenever I buy something with that much color, I end up regretting it. I’m just a neutral girl at heart!

great slipcovers. I just love dropcloth and keep finding more ways to use it! (except of course for painting, what a waste that would be)
Saw your post at Gail’s Catch as catch can party and then again at Air your laundry.

I need to move my mom up here so she can sew for me…i can sew, but by the time I get there at night I cannot see straight anymore!

Those chairs are awesome. I am actually working on some slipcovers..let’s see how long it takes.
