I have a few thank-yous to address frome some awesome blog friends!
I won a giveaway from Allison at Fab Rehab and received a whole box of supplies, including loads of fun zig-zaggy painters tape! She even threw in a couple of things to keep the kids busy so I can paint! π Thank you so MUCH, Allison! And please pay her a visit- she is a fellow furniture facelifter, and has done awesome projects including these…
Lovely, aren’t they? Go pop over and say hi to Allison!
Andi made me this adorable antique brass nest necklace! I love it! Before you look at these pictures, let me just say I am not wearing any makeup, and it is rainy here today, thus hair issues… But that necklace sure shines anyhow!
And I love to pair it with my owl necklace from Ali! Andi has a brand spankin’ new etsy shop where she is selling these necklaces and rings like it! Check it out at Natalily Designs.
And lastly, a gentleman emailed me last week and was cleaning out a barn with his dad and found a couple of old metal owls circa 1970. He wondered if I would want them…. Would I? Well yes please! They arrived Monday, and are awesome! My husband said they were the cutest he had seen. I even pointed out to Chris that the owls had swee heart-shaped faces. He looked at them, looked at me and said, “What can I say? I am a guy. I look at them and I see boobs.” Nice, huh?
But wait, there is more to this story! Nick told me that I had inspired him to refinish some pieces to sell as well since they have a new baby to care for. (And boy, are babies expensive! But worth every penny.) He sent me a couple of pictures of dressers he had worked his magic on. Well, last night I was going through the party links, and what do I see, but Nick’s dresser!!! He started a blog, Painted on Hartland. Here are a couple examples of Nick’s beautiful work!
