What a gorgeous week it’s been! We’ve been thoroughly enjoying a dose of Spring this week, with lots of walks for the dogs, jump roping, painting outside, and more. It felt so wonderful to work outside with the sunshine on my back. With Spring in the air, I’ve also been making some minor seasonal tweaks to the house, getting ready for the Hello Spring Home Tour I am participating in next week, hosted by Carrie of Lovely, Etc.
I don’t have any spaces full prepared to shoot yet and am hoping to knock it all out this weekend, but for now I thought I’d share some little peeks. Yesterday the windows were open, and the light was pouring in, and it was a great chance to capture some sunshine.
Our guest room is always ready for guests, as long as they don’t mind being bombarded by dogs and kids!In the dining room, I decided to place our next dollhouse project up on my cabinet to bring in a touch of Spring color. And the living room has been a work in progress the last few weeks as I’ve been rearranging. I am hoping to have it ready to share next week, and at least little peeks in the Spring tour. The house isn’t the only thing getting updated for the season. This little girl, Snowball, was sporting a very scruffy winter coat.(Check out her cute Merlin Mat from Janery, by the way! More on that coming soon!)
Emmy and I love her shaggy do so much, but the poor puppy is already deaf, so we didn’t need to make her blind, too. She could barely see! She headed to the groomer’s this week, and here she is with her fresh new look.
With all that hair gone, we noticed that her left eye is noticeably larger than her right. She sure is a dog full of quirks! We all are in love with her… she’s got the men in the family wrapped around her paw, but she is completely Emmy’s dog the way she loves and follows her around. Each night she falls asleep out of her crate, and if something startles her she doesn’t have her sense of hearing to help ease her mind, so she wakes up in an immediate shrill barking fit. It’s loud and ear piercing, but it’s also quite hysterical. We all giggle as she just barks like crazy until she realizes there was nothing there. She’s an utter spazz, but she is ours and we love every bit of her. Sorry for the side track, but I figured I owed you all a little Snowball update. 🙂
That’s all for now. Hope you have an amazing weekend and enjoy some time outside. I really feel like my spirit is refreshed after this past week… sweet sweet vitamin D!
