Happy Memorial Day!
I know we are all busy with our family and friends this weekend but I wanted to take a moment to let you know about some upcoming Summer living tours around here that start today.
Before I get to that though, I want to take a moment to say thank you to all of those who serve, have served, and have given up their lives, or lost loved ones for the good of our country. Your sacrifices are never forgotten, today or ever. Thank you.
So now let me tell you what is coming up soon on Primitive & Proper. This week I am excited to be sharing some interior spaces for an eclectic Summer tour hosted by the talented Jess of Domicile 37. She’s gathered a fantastic group of ladies whose unique homes will provide you with an array of eye candy. I will be participating this coming Friday, but today be sure to swing by and start the tour with Blue i Style, Polished Habitat, Bright Green Door and Maggie Overby Studios. I am actually running behind or I’d give you a little teaser, but I can tell you that my tour will include lots of this…
Emmy and I had fun putting together several bouquets this weekend. I am already mourning the peony season being over… I start to miss them so intensely even before they are close to gone.
Next week I will be joining Lindsay‘s Blogger Stylin’ Home Tours Summer edition and I’ll be sharing my porch. I’ve made several small changes this year and I think it’s finally just about where I want it. It’s really my happy place! Here’s a little peek at that, snapped by Emmy this past Saturday evening before we all went out as a family.PS- that piece I am wearing is technically a “coverup” but I paired it with a cami and leggings to wear out. It’s the Bali Coverup from Silk & Burlap and can be found here. I have a feeling it will be getting lots of use this summer! I bought it a couple weeks ago when I attended their “Friends & Fashion” show.
Back to the porch though…. we truly love hanging out on this space, eating dinner, reading in the hammock, and drawing with chalk. The kids and I “decorated” all over the porch in chalk this weekend and it’s sure to create an interesting floor situation for my porch. Also, who knows if that poor ficus will survive and still be around by the time that tour rolls around here.I’ll be sharing that space next Wednesday, so be ready to prop your feet up and relax in my piece of heaven with me.
Enjoy the rest of your holiday weekend. I will be back tomorrow with my Dollhouse Therapy bedroom reveals, and I am so excited to show you what we’ve come up with. Stay tuned!
