Sweet Clover Last Sale of the Year (with an Ugly Sweater Contest!)

Happy Thursday, my friends!  Yesterday I finally had time to get over to the barn and style my space for the Sweet Clover last sale of the year this weekend.  Sunday Chris and I dropped off a couple of dressers, but I didn’t have the time then to stay and stage, so I had to get back there.  This weekend will be extra fun because we’re having an ugly Christmas sweater contest, and the person who wears the ugliest of the uglies will win a $50 gift certificate to Sweet Clover. I’ll be working Friday and found myself a fantabulous ugly sweater to wear to the event… I didn’t want to be left out of that fun!  If you’re local, I  hope you can make it!  And if you’re not, I thought I’d share some photos of my space anyhow to share some seasonal decor ideas as well.

To be honest, I didn’t change a lot this time, because it’s still Christmas decor, of which I had no new items, but I wanted to share with you anyhow.  One thing I added is a very subtle touch and one of my favorites you may have noticed above… I found a couple of vintage plaid wool scarves and used them as garland in the tree.  I love this look as it has sort of a rustic and bohemian vibe, which sits me well.

Vintage Plais Scarves as Christmas tree garland

My absolute favorite section contains two of my most favorite pieces ever stacked on top of one another!

Tuesday I shared that inlay midcentury dresser and it seems to be popular as I have received a few messages about it… hopefully it will head to a new home this weekend!  And of course the other dresser I painted a while back and still adore, but don’t have the space for.  You can find that one here if you’d like the tutorial.

Above the dressers I kept it simple since it’s pretty high up with seascapes and silver deer candleholders.

In the entry to my space, I have another new piece that I will be sharing details on next week, but for now, here’s a peek!

The top of it is styled with a vintage crate full of cozy plaid throws and vintage ornaments, and, of course, a touch of brass.

This piece backs up to my gray farmhouse dresser.  I really try to cram a lot in each month!

And once this weekend is over, that will be a wrap on Sweet Clover until the third weekend of January, so don’t miss it!

One more thing before I go…. this just came in and I wanted to share!  This fantastic Shimmer Gift Set from Beautycounter is a new special for just $55 ($75 value) and it contains my most favorite citrus mimosa body butter… this stuff goes on like a moisturizing dream in the cold dry weather, and smells fresh, light, and amazing. I haven’t yet used the other two products in the set, but I am all about a little shimmer at those holiday parties. Pregnant or not, I am going to the Sweet Clover Christmas party, and I will be shimmering. Will you? Check it out here! And feel free to check out my page on safe and toxin free beauty here.

The turquoise dresser is one of my all time favorites and I wish I had room for it in my house.

Aww–I hope the turquoise dresser found a good home–I’ll miss it! And I love the idea of the scarves as a garland for a Christmas tree!
