The 30 Day Thrifted Fashion Challenge Final Days
Hello friends! Well, this is it! We made it to the very last day of the 30 Day Thrifted Fashion Challenge, and what a month it has been. Throughout the last 30 days, I have learned so much- and here I thought I knew it all when it came to thrifting. 😉 I will be writing a post sharing everything I have learned over the course of the last month from other people as well as from dressing myself in this manner daily. If you’ve missed any of the previous posts, you can find them all here. Today, to celebrate the final day of the thrifted challenge, I am partnering with two local to me shops for an awesome giveaway that is open on instagram to all in the bottom 48 states. Both Be Kind Kids and Our Village Goods have agreed to each giveaway a $100 credit to their shops- be sure to head to instagram to enter! (Giveaway will open late morning.) You can check out some of what these shops have to offer on my last outfit of the month, with a little bonus of Wilder wearing his consigned outfit. 😉 Before we get to that, here’s what I wore this week.
Day 22
I am a sucker for workout tops, and you will see a couple in this post. Nike Dri-Fit hoodies are favorites to run in when the weather is cool, but not cold enough for fleece. I scored a couple of these sweatshirts at a yard sale. Not the best photo, as I sat on my bathroom counter with the phone on my windowsill, but here you go. You can find similar Nike hoodies on poshmark here.
Day 23
Day 23 happened to fall on date night, and I was SOOOO excited about this one. I scored this Nanette Lepore top for $3 when we were in Hilton Head a couple of weeks ago. It features a mix of leopard and floral, and I love the moody romantic vibe it has. I paired it with my favorite black James Jeans. (Find Nanette Lepore blouses here on Poshmark).
It was a cool and rainy night, so I needed something over the top to keep me warm. I paired it with the vintage wool blazer I previously shared that I found at my local goodwill. Wilder wanted to get in on the action here, but in all fairness, his PJs were thrifted. (Similar blazers here.)
Day 24
I found this lace sweatshirt at our local Goodwill and brought it home for Emmy. I just loved the lace details, and I knew the color would look amazing with her eyes, which it does. Similar here on Poshmark.
Day 25
I found these overalls new with tags on an outing with Emmy recently. She hated them… was adamant that I should not purchase them, but I was really into them and knew exactly what I wanted to wear them with… a rust long sleeve that I didn’t own. Luckily, I found this turtleneck in the same Goodwill. Emmy admits that she now loves how this outfit looks, but she said it was difficult to see past the sports bra and yoga tank I had tried the overalls on with. 😉 The overalls are similar to these Madwell ones on Poshmark.
Day 26
I am always a sucker for a plaid shirt and jeans. I found this top at Goodwill and loved the pearly white buttons, light weight, and springy feel. The boots were also thrifted, and I am of the mindset that cowboy boots go with almost anything. I am also wearing my old J Crew matchstick jeans. If pink plaid with pearl buttons is your thing, Poshmark has you covered!
Day27
Did I mention I love finding workout tops? This Danskin top was thrifted and it’s one of my favorite long sleeve workout tops and I often wear it to yoga. It features thumb holes which are always a favorite feature for me since I am cold-natured. Rather than sit on my bathroom counter for this one, I decided to plank and set a timer on my camera, you know, so you could see the top in use. 😉 I found the same exact shirt on poshmark in a L here, and here (I am wearing M.) Someone needs to go snatch them up- seriously SO comfortable and perfect for yoga, or running when it’s in the 50s.
Day 28
Emmy found this new with tags crushed velvet star bomber jacket at our local goodwill. It’s such a fun and unique piece.
Day 29
I had a different outfit planned for this day but came down with food poisoning and spent the day in bed with Wilder watching Tayo the Little Bus, thank goodness for Netflix!!! Instead, I had Emmy throw something on for me, this cute pocket sweater we found.
Day 30
And finally, here we are on the very last day, and as promised, I’ve got a special couple of ensembles from local shops, Our Village Goods and Be Kind Kids.
Lora of Our Village Goods came to my house with several options for me. I tried on many items, but we both agreed that this vintage Pendleton hunter green blouse was the one. The color is beautiful, the fit is loose and comfortable, but it has a more sophisticated appeal with the stylistic details.
Lora has SOOO many adorable and unique hand-selected vintage items in her shop. She has an eye for beauty, details, and craftsmanship. Find her at Our Village Goods.
Now let’s talk about Wilder’s adorable outfit from Be Kind Kids. First of all, how insanely adorable is their storefront? And that kid in front of the store?
As you can imagine, this store is just as cute inside, and they are filled with adorable consigned kids clothing for baby all the way to middle school ages, and they even carry maternity. Wilder got an outfit that I really plan to use more next fall, so I selected sizes that are slightly large, but I put together these red chinos (I can’t wait to put him in these next Christmas!), chambray shirt, and puffy green Old Navy vest. (You can see I cuffed the pants so I could get some photos). Check out Be Kind Kids here.
Also, I am pretty sure this child should be a model. Maybe I am biased, but man oh man. He just moves so fast! He was outside picking flowers with Emmy, but I couldn’t get him to sit still so I have a few photos of him running to me, fist full of flowers, that just came out way too blurry.
Now head on over to instagram to enter to win $100 credit from each of these shops on my post! The giveaway is for credit toward clothing only, and open to all in the lower 48 states. It will be posted late this morning. Good luck!
