The Perfect Ceiling Fan for a Teen Boy’s Bedroom

Last month I shared with you Emmy’s new ceiling fan, which in my opinion is the perfect fan for a teen girl’s bedroom.  Well, up until recently, Sawyer was also rocking the 1980’s hideous ceiling fan in his room, and it didn’t even work well at all.  However, with the help of Hunter Fan Company, I have been on a mission to eradicate all ugly ceiling fans in our home and luckily for Sawyer, his was next up on the docket.  I can’t even wait to show you what I selected for Sawyer’s room because it is the perfect ceiling fan for a teen boy’s bedroom!  Are you ready to check it out?  (By the way, I am so in love with this actual fan that you will see it soon in my own bedroom as well, but with a totally different look!) Thank you so much to Hunter Fan Company for providing the product for this post.  This post also contains affiliate links. I was not otherwise compensated and all opinions are my own.

Teen Boy Bedroom Ceiling Fan

Rich in History

I mean, can you even handle how perfect this fan is, because I cannot.  Sawyer’s bedroom has a moody, high contrast look with a nod towards Americana.  He’s a bit of a history buff and has always been an admirer of Abraham Lincoln. (Note: His room is still decked out for the holidays somewhat with nutcrackers here, so I will be sharing an updated room tour in the next month or so.)  When I came across the Hunter collaboration with Pendleton, I was smitten by the Spider Rock fan.

Pendleton Ceiling Fan

If you didn’t know, Pendleton is a classically American company that sells the most beautiful woolen blankets in gorgeous southwest patterns.  The company was originally founded in 1863; and if you are familiar with American history, you know that was during Abraham Lincoln’s term as president.  This fan couldn’t be more perfect for Sawyer’s American history influenced bedroom which features photos and busts of Lincoln. In addition to the rich history of Pendleton, the Hunter Fan Company was also founded in the late 1800s in the United States.  It seems perfectly fitting that these two companies would eventually collaborate to create beautiful masterpieces to hang from your ceiling.  The funny thing is that I am not much of a history buff myself, but what I do love are origin stories, so looking into how these companies were founded was my geek out moment in this post. 😉

Here we are, heading into 2020, and both of these companies are still in existence.  To me, that speaks volumes to their integrity.  Hunter is dedicated to their customer service, and they want each individual who shops with them to have a great experience and to seamlessly find the right fans for their home.  Because of that commitment to service, they’ve been able to operate their company for over 130 years.  That’s pretty incredible, if you ask me!

Rich in Style

In addition to the historical value and excellent service Hunter Fan Company offers, they continue to be a leader in innovation.  In 1886, John Hunter invented the ceiling fan, so he was the original innovator when it comes to this product.  His legacy lives on as Hunter Fan Company continues to lead the way with their original designs which suit changing styles as well as technology advances.  As you can see, aesthetically, the Spider Rock Fan nails it!  I absolutely love the design and the tonal color (which actually can be changed to warmer vibes as well which I will show you in my bedroom soon).  Check out these blades a little closer…

I absolutely love the black and charcoal colors, and the classic Pendleton design.  It truly couldn’t be a better fit for Sawyer’s room.

If Pendleton and the southwest vibe of this particular fan is not your look, the Hunter Fan Company has so many other styles and finishes to suit any space. Emmy and Wilder both have fans that are completely different from Sawyer’s. teen boy bedroom at christmas

In Wilder’s room, we had a much smaller space to work with, and went with the Minimus.  Here’s a peek at that to refresh your memory, and you can read more about it here.

In Emmy’s room, we went with the Copper Norden which you can see below, and read more about here.

Teen Girl Bedrom

As you can see, each child’s room in our home has a unique fan that suits the style and size of the space.  Hunter Fan Company offers such great design options that they really have something for everyone.

Rich in Function

Although there are many unique styles, one thing remains consistent throughout each of Hunter Fan Company’s products, and that is their function and advanced technology.  Each of their fans are Whisper Quiet and Wobble Free, which makes this mama super happy!  Before installing these fans, I feared our house would take flight, or the fans would rock themselves off of our ceilings (I am only slightly exaggerating).  Now I have no more worries!  In fact, I can barely even hear the fans running when they are on.

The fans we’ve received have also all come with their own LED light which is great for conserving energy, and they are equipped with remote controls which help us conserve energy when we don’t want to get out of bed to flip a switch.  That is a total plus to the lazy teenagers in our house. I actually recall when I was a kid hitting my light switch then running and leaping into bed so the goblins wouldn’t grab my feet as I crawled into bed.  With these remote controls, my kids don’t have to risk the goblins who are only there when the room is dark. 😉

We could not be happier with our new functional and beautiful fans, and I love supporting companies that are part of the fabric of our country’s history. While I love all of the kids’ fans for each of their rooms, I admit that Sawyer’s Spider Rock is my favorite, which is why I chose the same exact one for my own bedroom. It has an entirely new look in my space and I can’t wait to share that with you next month.  Stay tuned!

I totally did the flip, run, and jump into bed as a kid for the same reasons 🤣 How cool that it’s a Pendleton pattern! Looks so great in his space.
