Hey hey hey, It’s Fat Albert! Thrift Score Thursday!

thrift score thursday11

We want you to participate! Hit up your local thrift stores, craigslist, yard sales, estate sales, side of the road, anything! Thrifty doesn’t necessarily mean from a thrift store. We want to see your good deals, wacky finds and treasures.

Don’t feel like you need to save those finds for Thursdays! Yes, features are shared on our blogs and Instagram on Thursdays, but we’re all checking in on (and using!) the hashtag all week long. So, when you see/find it, feel free to share it!

Each week, Trisha from Black and White Obsession, Cassie from Primitive and Proper, Corinna from For My Love Of, Brynne from The Gathered Home and a weekly guest co-host will pick a favorite thrift score or two to feature! So please note that by linking up with#thriftscorethursday, you are giving us permission to share your finds via social media or on our blogs.

This week we are excited to have Nicole of Design it Vintage back to guest host!

Now, my find is a little early in the season, but I wanted to share it now.  And I can honestly say, we found each other…. I dreamed up a little instagram account for an elf on the shelf and was making all sorts of silly plans and posts in my head…. but I didn’t actually have an elf to do this with, just the elf that visits my family every year.  Well, I headed into one of my favorite local haunts and met eyes with Rogue, the aqua elf with bunny ears. Clearly, he was once meant to be an Easter elf.  He was my favorite color, and unique and perfect in every way, and he was meant to be the elf behind the instagram account.  So for $5, he came home with me, and he just started sharing his heart, deepest thoughts, and adventures this past week on instagram.  You can follow him at Rogue the Elf.  Rogue is embracing his uniqueness. And his knees.

tst rogueNow for my features this week… I loved SO MANY of the thrifted things!  It was hard to select just a few.

Angie of Angie’s Roost found this great collection of nautical art… I especially love that top one!

tst angiesroostYou can find Angie on instagram here.

Erin showed off this catch and release vintage sofa…. love the tufting and shape!  And I am a sucker for vintage velvet.

Maggie was able to negotiate a little on this fantastic tole chandelier… I wish I had a place for one of these in our house, but our ceilings are too low.

tst maggie overbyYou can find Maggie on instagram here.

Now I had to share this guy from Suite 22 Antiques!  I love his white outfit!tst suite22 antiquesYou can find Suite 22 on instagram here.

Kayla found this awesome unicorn box and added some fun with a “Yeah” and a “Hell yeah.”  I love this idea!  Hell yeah!

And finally, check out this educational chart Britt scored!  I love how it looks over her MCM piece.  The styling is spot on.tst the magpie collection

Now an announcement!  For the next two weeks we will be having a special Halloween themed Thrift Score Thursday!  Show us your wackiest and creepiest costumes, your scariest decor and upcycles… we want to see those thrifted Halloween finds!  So be sure to use #thriftscorethursday for a chance to have those hauntingly creepy finds featured!

The vintage elves are adorable. And somehow less scary than the modern version.

Aw, my mom’s stepfather has that nautical painting with the man and little girl rowing the boat in their family room. I think he got a copy of one for each of his daughters. I’ve always loved it. Great find!

I’m sofa obsessed right now and loving this find! I am so jealous of the educational chart. I wanted one for the playroom and kick myself for not buying one at an antique store when I saw one!
