Hey guys!  Happy Thrift Score Thursday!thrift score thursday12If you are new here, let me explain just what #thriftscorethursday is.  We want you to participate! Hit up your local thrift stores, craigslist, yard sales, estate sales, side of the road, anything! Thrifty doesn’t necessarily mean from a thrift store. We want to see your good deals, wacky finds and treasures.

Don’t feel like you need to save those finds for Thursdays! Yes, features are shared on our blogs and Instagram on Thursdays, but we’re all checking in on (and using!) the hashtag all week long. So, when you see/find it, feel free to share it!  And we love it when you tag your friends to play along, too!

Each week Brynne from The Gathered Home, Cassie from Primitive and Proper, Corinna from For A Designer at Home,  Maggie from Maggie Overby Studios, and  once monthly a guest co-host will pick a favorite thrift score or two to feature! So please note that by linking up with#thriftscorethursday, you are giving us permission to share your finds via social media or on our blogs.

This week I thought I would share a little peek of my summer home tour, coming tomorrow.  Last weekend Emmy and I hit up a local church yard sale and we found some treasures including vintage macrame beads, old weathered terra cotta pots, vintage lace, and some other fun finds.  As we were about to go pay, Emmy pointed out this gorgeous bottle. Thrifted Gold and White Glass BottleIt features beautiful white and gold botanical designs and was marked 50 cents.  We grabbed it and headed out to pay.  Sunday she and I took some time to cut peonies and create several bouquets for around the house, using various vessels.  We used this one where it fit perfectly on our mantle with white peonies.Thrifted Vase with White Peonies and white cactus and fringe on mantle

Now let me show you your own thrift score finds that caught my eye this week.

Debra shared this fantastic clock find.  They just don’t make cool midcentury clocks like they used to, but these days I guess people don’t use clocks as much.  We all have our phones.tst eveislestudiosYou can find Debra on instagram here.

Jennifer scored a hanging chair!!!!  I still remember the joy on Emmy’s face when we won her hanging chair at the auction house.tst jenniferdYou can find Jennifer on instagram here.

Cat shared this entire upcycled dining vignette featuring thrifted chairs and a salvaged dining table and they look lovely together.tst pocketfulofposieswaYou can find Cat on instagram here.

Anna Rose found this great set of pineapple salad bowls and now I feel a void in my life…. I need pineapple salad bowls!tst thehowtogalYou can find Anna Rose on instagram here.

Danavee styled her mantle with these thrifted unicorn bookends.  Do you know what happened as a result?  Magic, people.  This mantle is pure magic.tst thisvintagegroveYou can find Danavee on instagram here.

And finally, check out this dazzling crystal chandelier Twinspiration Home showed off in their equally dazzling bedroom!tst twinspiration_home

Now head on over to see what my cohosts found and featured, and check out the sign up box if you’re interested in being a cohost.

Love them all, I think your daughter has a good eye, you might want to keep her around for spotting…maybe she’ll find you a unicorn.

I LOVE your little fifty cent vase! I’m a totally sucker for glassware with gold printing! It looks especially gorgeous with those peonies – do you grow peonies? I’m jealous!

Your daughter has “the eye”. I think my mom has one of those wooden pineapple bowls. Need to go visit and raid her house (again). Love the mid-century clock too!

Unicorn bookends, pineapple wood salad bowls?! I must be dreaming! I have that same chandelier minus the crystals that I thrifted several years ago. It was during a time period where I felt the need to paint all things, and I spray painted black over all the beautiful chippy gold. I’m so upset 🙁
