It’s #thriftscorethursday and I am so excited to share my find with you today, which is form and function all in one.
But first, if you are new here, then let me explain what thrift score Thursday is….
We want you to participate! Hit up your local thrift stores, craigslist, yard sales, estate sales, side of the road, anything! Thrifty doesn’t necessarily mean from a thrift store. We want to see your good deals, wacky finds and treasures.
Don’t feel like you need to save those finds for Thursdays! Yes, features are shared on our blogs and Instagram on Thursdays, but we’re all checking in on (and using!) the hashtag all week long. So, when you see/find it, feel free to share it!
Each week, Trisha from Black and White Obsession, Cassie from Primitive and ProperCorinna from For My Love Of, Brynne from The Gathered Home and a weekly guest co-host will pick a favorite thrift score or two to feature! So please note that by linking up with#thriftscorethursday, you are giving us permission to share your finds via social media or on our blogs.
This week Shavonda from SG Style is back as our guest host! I love this girl. She recently downsized to a smaller California home, but her small home is big on style and color. She knows how to hunt down interesting finds, and her recent patio makeover makes my heart go pitter patter.
Now onto my features for the week.
First up, I am always a sucker for vintage paintings…. this floral that Holly from West Pear Avenue found is beautiful! I love the texture.
You can find Holly on instagram here.
Next up, who doesn’t love a hanging chair?! What a score from Olivia Grace Creations! You can find Olivia on instagram here.
And this one might be my favorite- I love the color of these industrial drawers that Thrifted Riches found.

And now for my find. We have been struggling to keep Sawyer’s ever growing lego collection organized. His shelves have been littered with legos and pieces strewn in mayhem. Under his bed I had some cheap plastic bins that didn’t fit very well because I needed them to be 6″ high and had a hard time finding big bins that height.
Well, the first day of the Lucketts Spring Market I happened to notice that the vendor next to me had large shallow industrial drawers that had gliders on the bottom…. they looked PERFECT. I purchased 2 for $100 and brought them home that night to discover that they were the exact width of a twin bed, and his bed fit two under it beautifully. Well, he has two twin beds in his room, and I needed to maximize storage, so the next day I went back and bought two more. (She originally only had 5, but I guess no one had the use for them like I did!)
Here is a glimpse of what they look like under his bed…
These drawers enabled us to clear many legos off the shelves, and that makes this mama happy!
Now make sure to visit all of my cohosts to see their finds and features!
