It’s my favorite day of the week… Thrift Score Thursday! If you are new here, let me explain just what #thriftscorethursday is. We want you to participate! Hit up your local thrift stores, craigslist, yard sales, estate sales, side of the road, anything! Thrifty doesn’t necessarily mean from a thrift store. We want to see your good deals, wacky finds and treasures.
Don’t feel like you need to save those finds for Thursdays! Yes, features are shared on our blogs and Instagram on Thursdays, but we’re all checking in on (and using!) the hashtag all week long. So, when you see/find it, feel free to share it! And we love it when you tag your friends to play along, too!
Each week Brynne from The Gathered Home, Cassie from Primitive and Proper, Corinna from For A Designer at Home, Maggie from Maggie Overby Studios, and once monthly a guest co-host will pick a favorite thrift score or two to feature! So please note that by linking up with#thriftscorethursday, you are giving us permission to share your finds via social media or on our blogs.
This week we also have an amazing guest host, Mila from Jest Cafe. Mila caught my eye back in May when I came upon the kids’ room she created for the One Room Challenge. It’s an amazing space, so head on over to check it out!My find this week came from Sweet Clover. I had been eyeing it for a couple months and decided to purchase it from my vendor. Well our sale came and went and it slipped my mind, so I contacted the vendor, Leila, and asked if I could buy it from her. She wanted to just give it to me, so instead I traded her some wooden clogs. And what I got in return is amazing…. A bamboo double tiered plant hanger!
I just love how it looks in my living room! Embarrassingly enough, this spider plant has been hanging there for well over a year in the plastic pot it came in. It was time for a change!
My features this week are all sorts of lovely, too!
First up, Leigh found this fringed vintage bedspread for $5! It is similar to my own that I have on my bed, and I just love the classic white look with fringe.
And next up, Erica scored these fantastic southwestern themed needlepoint pieces. They reminded me of the cactus cross stitch I found earlier this year! I love hers more though- the colors and design are fantastic.
Now make sure you head on over to visit my cohosts to see their own finds and features. And while you’re at Brynne’s wish her a happy birthday! She celebrated her birthday yesterday!
That’s all for this week! We’ll be back next week with more thrifted awesomesauce! Happy Hunting!
