Happy Thrift Score Thursday! If you are new here, let me explain just what #thriftscorethursday is. We want you to participate! Hit up your local thrift stores, craigslist, yard sales, estate sales, side of the road, anything! Thrifty doesn’t necessarily mean from a thrift store. We want to see your good deals, wacky finds and treasures.
Don’t feel like you need to save those finds for Thursdays! Yes, features are shared on our blogs and Instagram on Thursdays, but we’re all checking in on (and using!) the hashtag all week long. So, when you see/find it, feel free to share it! And we love it when you tag your friends to play along, too!
Each week Brynne from The Gathered Home, Cassie from Primitive and Proper, Corinna from For A Designer at Home, Maggie from Maggie Overby Studios, and once monthly a guest co-host will pick a favorite thrift score or two to feature! So please note that by linking up with#thriftscorethursday, you are giving us permission to share your finds via social media or on our blogs.
This week I am sharing something you actually had a little peek of yesterday if you took my Summer porch tour. Last weekend Emmy and I headed out for our Saturday morning ritual of yard sales followed by the Farmer’s market. I had $2 in my wallet and planned to stop at an ATM but I had spied a yard sale setting up earlier that morning when I was out for my run. I thought we’d just swing by there first and see if we needed to come back with more cash. I didn’t see much, but found two adorable blue and white planters, and when I asked the price I was told they were 50 cents each. Boom. Sold, and I still had a dollar to spare! They were both on the petite side, but perfect because I had been planning to propagate my living room spider plant. I placed one by the front door with another spider plant I got at the farmer’s market (which happens to be in a thrifted terra cotta pot!).
I placed the other by my side entry door near my large rosemary planters, and a tall cactus I also found at the farmer’s market. Not too shabby for $1 on the planters and free plants clipped from my own!
Now for some awesome features… I truly had a challenging time narrowing down my choices, but here are my top 8 picks.
Diane scored some major goodies at the Country Living Fair including the chair and plant stand below. I also love what she said, that her style isn’t Country, but good items can be found at any venue for any style. It’s so true!

Next up, Elizabeth Rose always shares such beautiful images, but she really turned my head with this vase. (Pun intended… womp womp womp.)

If you follow Erica, you know that she kills it with every single find and photo. She has incredible thrifting and styling skills, and this wall hanging is no exception. And those colors! You can find Erica on instagram here.
Haneen scored some gorgeous green goodies and styled them all around her fireplace and the collected look is incredible. You can find Haneen on instagram here.
Jen is always sharing amazing finds and it’s hard not to have a whole separate “Look What Jen Found” post, but this sweet elephant planter really caught my eye. It’s adorable and of course the spider plant looks perfect. You can find Jen on instagram here.
Julie found an epic pair of bamboo chairs…. for free! I’ve never seen anything like them and I might have a case of the jellies. You can find Julie on instagram here.
Melissa is a new to me instagram account I recently started following. I love her fresh use of colorful art mixed with vintage. The planter, desk, and pillow are all thrifted.

And finally, Jennifer grabbed a vintage Curtis Jere brass sculpture for $5.99, compared to $2200 on 1st Dibs! Say what? It’s pretty awesome.

Now head on over to see what my cohosts have found and featured as well. I always love seeing what catches their eyes.
We’ll see you next Thursday for more thrifty goodness. Happy Hunting!
