Happy New Year, Thrift Score Thursday lovers!
You may recall that last we posted about TST, we started our new monthly format. With these new monthly posts and features, we’re all being a little pickier as we have one month of thrifted finds to squeeze into a handful of features. If you are new here (first, hi! I am glad you’re here!), let me explain just what #thriftscorethursday is. We want you to participate! Hit up your local thrift stores, craigslist, yard sales, estate sales, side of the road, anything! Thrifty doesn’t necessarily mean from a thrift store. We want to see your good deals, wacky finds and treasures and how you style them in your home. That’s right… I am looking for gorgeous photos of interiors with your finds styled to perfection.
Don’t feel like you need to save those finds for Thursdays! Yes, features are shared on our blogs once a month and Instagram weekly on Thursdays, but we’re all checking in on (and using!) the hashtag all week long. So, when you see/find it, feel free to share it! And we love it when you tag your friends to play along, too!
The first Thursday of each month, Brynne from The Gathered Home, Maggie from Maggie Overby Studios and I will pick our favorite thrift scores to feature. So please note that by linking up with#thriftscorethursday, you are giving us permission to share your finds via social media or on our blogs.
As I told you on Tuesday, my goal is to spend less this year and work with what I have. That means I won’t even be hitting the thrift shops like I used to, but I am still being constantly inspired by the images you tag and have some great features today. I just have nothing of my own to share.
Jo showed off her bedroom which has many thrifted finds, the latest being that Mexican equipale chair. I am in love with the entire space- her use of neutrals and textures has me drooling!Sara‘s style is so fun and full of layers, fiber, and plants. This thrifted frameless round mirror is in perfect juxtaposition with her other pieces. (You can also shop Sara’s macrame art here.)
Nicole has loads of thrifted finds in this bedroom, my favorites being those ginormica tassels on the wreath, and the original Paul McCobb chair. She’s used everything to pull together a cozy eclectic look.
Kpick89 scored this vintage Navajo style rug for 10 bucks. No, I didn’t leave off a zero… TEN DOLLARS. WHAT?!?!
Lilly showed off her vibrant cobalt blue piece she thrifted and painted herself. I love the statement it makes!
Kristy scored this original vintage chair, and would you look at that color? Be still, my aqua loving heart!
That’s all for my features this month. Make sure you visit my cohosts to see what they’ve found and featured as well, and we’ll be back next month with more. Until then, happy hunting!
