I was SOOOO excited when Brynne and Trisha asked me to guest host Thrift Score Thursday. I adore these girls so much- they are young and stylish and quirky and fun! I’m like their cool aunt.
Any day that I have a thrift score is a great day to me! If you follow Brynne of The Gathered Home and Trisha of Black and White Obsession (If you don’t, you should!), then you have seen their #thriftscorethursday posts. Each week they share their favorite finds from readers (who use #thriftscorethursdays on instagram), and also their own favorite finds from the week. This week, as guest host, I get to choose my favorites from the hashtagged instagram photos. And look, I even got my own fancy banner and they called me lovely. 🙂
I pretty much died when I saw this image from futuristichuman. We have the same antelope, so I feel like we are kindred spirits. I love the antelope, the chair, and the whole ensemble. I want Sabrina and I to become friends and go thrift together. OK?
Oh, and she also found these pillows. I am trying to contain my jealousy and hide it away, BUTICANT!
This coffee table from kainable is amazing! And her comment on it reads, “At this point, I’m surprised that there is any more Brass left for me to find! ” That cracks me up- between Brynne, myself, and herself, I think she’s right… how can there be any brass even left in the world? (Oh but wait, there was…. as you will see in my own finds below). I had fun cruising through Kayla’s entire instagram feed to see many wonderful finds!
And now onto my own finds! This was my haul from last Saturday’s adventure! As you can see, I found some brass. 😉 My favorite of these is the brass squirrel, perfect to add to my shelves or mantle for Fall! I am super excited about the vintage Italian bedspreads I found, never used and stored in a cedar chest for years! One of them will be used in upholstering Emmy’s settee! I am also excited about the “runners” road sign- I thought it would help motivate me to stay a runner… otherwise it would be sort of lame to hang it in my home. The garden gate is going to be used in our veggie garden next spring for peas or some other vine plant. I’ve always wanted one for our garden!
