Happy Thrift Score Thursday! If you are new here, let me explain just what #thriftscorethursday is. We want you to participate! Hit up your local thrift stores, craigslist, yard sales, estate sales, side of the road, anything! Thrifty doesn’t necessarily mean from a thrift store. We want to see your good deals, wacky finds and treasures.
Don’t feel like you need to save those finds for Thursdays! Yes, features are shared on our blogs and Instagram on Thursdays, but we’re all checking in on (and using!) the hashtag all week long. So, when you see/find it, feel free to share it! And we love it when you tag your friends to play along, too!
Each week Brynne from The Gathered Home, Cassie from Primitive and Proper, Corinna from For A Designer at Home, Maggie from Maggie Overby Studios, and once monthly a guest co-host will pick a favorite thrift score or two to feature! So please note that by linking up with#thriftscorethursday, you are giving us permission to share your finds via social media or on our blogs.
This week I have a really neat original industrial piece I’ve got at Sweet Clover that I want to share with you. My friend The Graphics Fairy moved recently (she lived not far from the shop before the move) and invited me to a dealer only sale at her home. This piece was the first one that I scooped up… I mean, just look at it! This was from our August sale.We are hosting our September tag sale this coming weekend and it’s feeling very fall-ish in the shop! So we’ve moved it and set it on top of a dresser Sarah painted to create sort of a hutch.
This month, this area is my favorite of what Sarah and I styled. The gray and white with the moodier amber and black just speaks to me.
Here’s one more shot of that space, simply because I love it (even though the industrial piece didn’t even make it into this photo!)
If you are local to the Frederick area, come on out and see us this weekend. You can find more photos in our facebook album– our vendors have brought on the fall game strong!
My features this week are both fabulous eclectic spaces. I have a weakness for folding screens as headboards (as you can see in my own master bedroom!), so when I spied this thrifted folding screen headboard from Claire, I had to share it with you.Such a fun mix of pillows, too!
Eva scored this fantastic pink rug for her dining space and it just brightens it up and adds so much charm! I have a feeling several other items here were thrifted, too, and it all looks so good together.
Did you find anything good this week? Head on over to my cohosts to see what they found and featured.
We’ll be back next week with awesome thrifted finds… I think Fall is my favorite for thrifting! And for pretty much everything else. Happy Hunting!
