Thrift Score Thursday: I Can’t Get You Outta My Head

Happy #thriftscorethursday !  It’s one of my favorite days of the week- time to share those awesome yard sale and thrift shop scores.  Since I was away this past weekend, throwing caution to the wind asleep by 10 at a hotel in Vegas, I was afraid I would have nothing to share.  But luck was on my side!

New here?  Let me explain.

We want you to participate! Hit up your local thrift stores, craigslist, yard sales, estate sales, side of the road, anything! Thrifty doesn’t necessarily mean from a thrift store. We want to see your good deals, wacky finds and treasures.

Don’t feel like you need to save those finds for Thursdays! Yes, features are shared on our blogs and Instagram on Thursdays, but we’re all checking in on (and using!) the hashtag all week long. So, when you see/find it, feel free to share it!

Each week, Trisha from Black and White Obsession, Cassie from Primitive and Proper, Corinna from For My Love Of, Brynne from The Gathered Home and a weekly guest co-host will pick a favorite thrift score or two to feature! So please note that by linking up with#thriftscorethursday, you are giving us permission to share your finds via social media or on our blogs.

This week we have the talented Brittany from White Dog Vintage.  This girl has style for miles… have you seen her kitchen?

Ok so first I want to show you my find.  I have been coveting wicker peacock chairs for some time, and Emmy always points them out in magazines and on websites as well.  What can I say?  The girl has style.  Anyhow, I found a small version at a thrift shop a couple weeks ago for $20.  I walked away from that chair, and then couldn’t stop thinking about it…. Well Tuesday I was near the shop for a meeting so decided to pop in and there it was!  It was waiting for me… I brought it home with no idea where it would go in our home, but then inspiration struck as soon as I pulled up the driveway, and it’s now living happily as an outdoor dining end chair.  Behold, my new chair!

IMG_3849PinNow let me show you some awesome features… I had a really hard time selecting this week as there were so many great finds.  Must be that fabulous Fall yardsale weather in the air!

Sabrina, aka Futuristic Human, always has stunning midcentury furniture finds and more.  Check out the vibrant colors in this rug she scored!

Next up is this rad brass tray and wood table from Lynda Dsouza… I love how she has it styled with the bull head and air plant, too!  And Emmy was with me while I wrote this post and she says Lynda is pretty, too.

This brass trunk is a perfect fit for Jami at Second Hand Glam!  I dream of the day I find one like it, or the day she decides to give it to me.  Whichever happens first, really.

And finally this little bamboo stool from Alice at Thoughts from Alice rules the world, but pretty much everything Alice touches rules my world.

Did you find anything fabulous this week?  If you did don’t forget to share on instagram with our tag, #thriftscorethursday .

Now make sure you visit my cohosts to see their finds and features!

Until next Thursday, happy hunting!

Your chair is awesome Cassie – I could totally see it living in Emmy’s room at some point too, like in her teen years – I could definitely see Hannah snatching that right up for herself!!

Just love that chair! I have been keeping an eye out for one myself. I think I may actually like it more than the full-sized peacock (shhhhhh!!). It looks awesome on your porch. Love Lynda’s whole set up with that rug + table! I like Emmy’s commentary on all this, too. 🙂 Thank you for having me as guest host! I’m having a fabulous time!

yes, i think so, too! at least for my dining table. emmy was bored and upset that i didn’t drop her off with sawyer at soccer practice (if my husband is there i let her stay, but he was running late so i made her come home with me and i had to get my post done!) I told her she could help me choose all the prettiest things so she sat with me and watched as I wrote as well. I taught her how to create links, etc, and she was totally getting it! She’ll have her own blog before you know it. 😉

I love when that happens! Thank goodness the chair was still there for you! Sometimes I wake up in the middle of night with huge regrets because I just realized how & where I should use a thrift find I left behind… Thrifter’s remorse is no joke! So glad everything turned out well for your lovely porch table setting!
