Happy Thrift Score Thursday!
New here? Let me explain!
We want you to participate! Hit up your local thrift stores, craigslist, yard sales, estate sales, side of the road, anything! Thrifty doesn’t necessarily mean from a thrift store. We want to see your good deals, wacky finds and treasures.
Don’t feel like you need to save those finds for Thursdays! Yes, features are shared on our blogs and Instagram on Thursdays, but we’re all checking in on (and using!) the hashtag all week long. So, when you see/find it, feel free to share it!
Each week, Trisha from Black and White Obsession, Cassie from Primitive and ProperCorinna from For My Love Of, Brynne from The Gathered Home and a weekly guest co-host will pick a favorite thrift score or two to feature! So please note that by linking up with#thriftscorethursday, you are giving us permission to share your finds via social media or on our blogs.
This week we have special guest Jess of Domicile 37. Welcome, Jess!
This week I am showing off two fabulous features. First up, I love this dresser from Little Home Reloved. And I love the peek of the opposite wall in the mirror! Beautiful, Ty!
You can find Ty on instagram here.
Next up, my heart skipped a beat when I saw this beautiful clock from Twine & Vines. I mean…. just soak it in, people.
Jodi has such a fun instagram feed, and you can find it here.
Now I am excited to share my own find! This was inspired by my friend Ali who no longer blogs, but has a great backlog of projects worth checking out. Actually, it’s not featured on her blog, but this idea was hers… See, her mom worked in a shop that was getting rid of old displays, including standing rotating card display. Ali took it home to display photos in her home…. genius! Ever since I saw her amazing idea, I wanted something similar to display my own family photos, precious memories and snapshots that maybe aren’t frame-worthy but make me smile.
Well, a couple weekends ago, I was in Chatham, MA, at a fabulous shop my friend wanted to show me. Monomoy Salvage is a teeny little place, but it was filled with some awesome treasures. I saw a tabletop brass vintage card display and felt it was my lucky day! I asked the shop owner how much, as there was no price on it… She said, “uuum, how about $20?” I blurted out “Sold!”
And now here it is on top of the Ikea cubbies in our cedar planked closet.
I am so in love with this, and it’s the perfect size as I didn’t have a place for a floor standing version.
And the kids have had a grand time rotating the display and checking out all of the photos, and sharing memories.
Now be sure to visit all of my cohosts to see their finds and features!
And guess what? We want you to be our guest host! That’s right… your face here!
Email me if you are interested!
That is all for this week! I have been busy the last two weekends and am ready to dive head first into some yard sales this weekend. How about you? Happy hunting!
