It’s time for Thrift Score Thursday!thrift score thursday12If you are new here, let me explain just what #thriftscorethursday is.  We want you to participate! Hit up your local thrift stores, craigslist, yard sales, estate sales, side of the road, anything! Thrifty doesn’t necessarily mean from a thrift store. We want to see your good deals, wacky finds and treasures.

Don’t feel like you need to save those finds for Thursdays! Yes, features are shared on our blogs and Instagram on Thursdays, but we’re all checking in on (and using!) the hashtag all week long. So, when you see/find it, feel free to share it!  And we love it when you tag your friends to play along, too!

Each week Brynne from The Gathered Home, Cassie from Primitive and Proper, Corinna from For A Designer at Home,  Maggie from Maggie Overby Studios, and  once monthly a guest co-host will pick a favorite thrift score or two to feature! So please note that by linking up with#thriftscorethursday, you are giving us permission to share your finds via social media or on our blogs.

This week I am sharing a simple little find.  I have several pieces of furniture in my garage at the moment (mostly thanks to Sarah Dorsey) but nothing was really photo ready, so maybe next week you’ll get to peek at that.  For now I wanted to show you this simple basket I found at a thrift shop for $1.  I don’t buy baskets often, but the shape and large scale made it perfect to house one of my plants.Thrifted Basket Planter

Speaking of my houseplants, when the warmer weather arrives, I bring my larger plants out to the porch.  They thrive in the warmer humid air and then I bring them in at the end of the summer.  And let me tell you my poor little ficus tree could use some love at the moment… it has lost so many leaves.  It’s over there begging for mercy… pray for it, ok?  Let’s hope being outside helps!Boho Porch with Plants

Now let’s get to the features!

I am totally feeling the summer vibes at the moment, and this bamboo chair from Debra at Eve Isle Studios is perfect for relaxing with a pina colada!tst eveislestudiosYou can find Debra on instagram here.

Eden at Curated Cayman thrifts in the Cayman Islands, so it makes sense that she scored this island ready daybed!  I need to find one in Maryland!tst curatedcaymanYou can find Eden on instagram here.

Next up, Melissa Brandman is such a kindred spirit of mine and her entire feed is so pretty!  I love this unique granny square afghan she found- the colors are so fun!tst melissa brandmanYou can find Melissa on instagram here.

Amber of Restless Arrow has such a beautiful home and this thrifted chandelier fits into her decor seamlessly.tst restless arrowYou can find Amber on instagram here.

Maria scored this awesome bamboo look table at an estate sale for 10 dollars… and can we talk about how awesome everything else in this shot is?

tst yomilandYou can find Maria on instagram here.

Mandie at Mid Mod inspirations found this gorgeous painting at her thrift shop for $3!  THREE DOLLARS?!?!?!  What?!?!?  Those colors!  And it’s pretty large- look at it next to those chairs.  Makes me want to pick up a brush and try my hand at painting.tst mid mod inspirationsYou can find Mandie on instagram here.

That’s all of my features this week.  Be sure to visit my cohosts to see their finds and features as well!  It’s always fun to see what strikes another’s eye.

I’m in love with that day bed too, what a perfect place to swoon over amazing thrift scores! And I wish Mr. Ficus luck, I had one that lived for years and we finally had to give it away when we moved cross country but I’ve also killed a few in my time. Hope he doesn’t meet that fate.

You know I gave up on keeping plants alive a long time ago! But I’m sending all my best wishes to yours 🙂 I need to find a huge planter/basket for my FAKE fiddle leaf… So that’s on the thrifting wishlist!

That basket is perfect! I hope you don’t mind this, but your split leaf looks thirsty. That’s how mine normally looks when it’s dried out. The weave and shape of that basket though- a dollar well spent!
