Happy #thriftscorethursday !

thrift score thursday10

New here?  Let me explain!

We want you to participate! Hit up your local thrift stores, craigslist, yard sales, estate sales, side of the road, anything! Thrifty doesn’t necessarily mean from a thrift store. We want to see your good deals, wacky finds and treasures.

Don’t feel like you need to save those finds for Thursdays! Yes, features are shared on our blogs and Instagram on Thursdays, but we’re all checking in on (and using!) the hashtag all week long. So, when you see/find it, feel free to share it!

Each week, Trisha from Black and White Obsession, Cassie from Primitive and ProperCorinna from For My Love Of, Brynne from The Gathered Home and a weekly guest co-host will pick a favorite thrift score or two to feature! So please note that by linking up with#thriftscorethursday, you are giving us permission to share your finds via social media or on our blogs.

This week we have a special guest host, who I happily say is the queen of Craigslist, Pam from Simple Details!  And what she does with her finds is always amazing, too.

TST Guest Host PamNow for my features this week!

I was in love with this brass fox that Ajbyce found!  I mean it’s a brass fox…. what is not to love!tst ajbyce

You can find her on instagram here.

Next up is Ashlynathome who found this awesome vintage chair and I am crushing on the pillow she added to it as well as the coffee can succulent!

Jennifer from Dimples & Tangles found this sweet brass mail sorter!  How is that for fancy mail?  Love it!tst dimples and tangles

I am in love with this pretty mantle that Rhiann from Quince Cottage created using thrifted milk bottles.  It is so simple, elegant, and beautiful

And finally, Erica from Vintage Design Me found a bunch of thrifted vessels, inexpensive succulents, and a thrifted tray and created a fresh little vignette that I adore!tst vintage design meYou can find Erica on instagram here.

And now my turn to share my find!  A few weeks ago I was at a yard sale with a girlfriend and we spotted a projector.  At first I didn’t ask thinking, “Oh it’s going to be more than I want to spend.”  But the man running the sale ended up being super nice and we chatted with him quite a bit, so I decided to ask.  He said “Oh, how about $2?”  WHAT?!?!?!  I grabbed it and ran, and threw $2 over my shoulder as I shouted thanks and laughed with glee!  OK, that’s what I wanted to do, but I kept my version of cool.

IMG_1920I have some projects planned already with this bad boy and I can’t wait!

Now make sure you check out all of my cohosts and our lovely guest host to see their finds and features this week!

Wow, Cassie!!! I’m dying just thinking of what you might come up with! It brings back memories of a huge tree scene I did in my little guys playroom years ago. You girls are an awesome group, thanks so much the opportunity to join in the fun!

Give me that wicker chair!! I’m still kicking myself for not asking to keep my projector when I was a teacher. They were getting rid of them, and I should have just kept mine for personal use! I bet it’s either in a warehouse or the dump now. Oh the humanity!!
