It’s time for Thrift Score Thursday!thrift score thursday12PinIf you are new here, let me explain just what #thriftscorethursday is.  We want you to participate! Hit up your local thrift stores, craigslist, yard sales, estate sales, side of the road, anything! Thrifty doesn’t necessarily mean from a thrift store. We want to see your good deals, wacky finds and treasures.

Don’t feel like you need to save those finds for Thursdays! Yes, features are shared on our blogs and Instagram on Thursdays, but we’re all checking in on (and using!) the hashtag all week long. So, when you see/find it, feel free to share it!  And we love it when you tag your friends to play along, too!

Each week Brynne from The Gathered Home, Cassie from Primitive and Proper, Corinna from For A Designer at Home,  Maggie from Maggie Overby Studios, and  once monthly a guest co-host will pick a favorite thrift score or two to feature! So please note that by linking up with#thriftscorethursday, you are giving us permission to share your finds via social media or on our blogs.

This week we have a special guest host joining us, Linda from The Home I Create.  If you haven’t already, you need to check out her blog.  Her style is fabulous and fresh, light and airy.  I especially love the makeover of her daughter’s room she just revealed.Thrift-Score-Thursday-Guest-Host-Linda-The-Home-I-CreatePinPin

Speaking of daughters and room makeovers…. I honesty had no intention of even considering redoing a room for Emmy.  She helped me design her current bedroom and she truly loves it. But a couple of weeks ago, I casually mentioned that one day when she was older the guest room would be perfect for her with its dual closets and own bathroom.  Well the next thing I knew, homegirl was packing her bags and moving in!  So currently we are planning to change the guest room around and make it Emmy’s room, but that is all pending her ability to keep her current room clean.  So nothing is in stone, but we are planning and gathering with Emmy understanding that any of the gathered goods, could end up at Sweet Clover if she doesn’t keep up her end of the bargain.  She wants to go in a completely different direction this time, with much more color.  Specifically she told me she wants Modern Mexican Boho.  We’ve found several items in less than a week, and I thought I’d show you the textiles today.Colorful Boho TextilesPinIn the background of it all is a creamy white vintage shawl we found at a local antique shop this week.  Sawyer has been in soccer camp, so Emmy and I have been hanging out and decided to hit the shops.  I have no idea how we will use it, but we loved the colorful embroidery and fringe!  It’s triangular in shape so it might end up on the wall.

The other two pieces I found at a cute vintage shop I stumbled upon and had time to stop in last week.  The pillow was on clearance and super cheap.  His eyes are a little crazy, but I loved the embroidery and color.  And look at his fun tail!  It helps make up for the crazy eyes.Vintage Giraffe Embroidered PillowPinAnd this might be my favorite of all three pieces- a brightly colored cobalt embroidered wall hanging with elephants.Embroidered Elephant Wall Hanging- Bright BohoPinSince I found such fun textiles, I thought I would narrow down my favorites this week by featuring textiles only.  Besides, otherwise I might have 392 features.

Kelly found this fabulous vintage floral pillow.  Love the handiwork and time that went into it.tst detoursllcPinYou can find Kelly on instagram here.

Jessica found a rag rug and covered a thrifted stool.  Love how it turned out!tst househomemadePinYou can find Jessica on instagram here.

Kate scored this awesome ocean needlepoint… like Kate I am not usually drawn to framed needlepoints as much, but I am drawn to seascapes.  tst modbeachhousePinYou can find Kate on instagram here.

Heather found all of the goodies you see here, but that macrame chair is what did me in.  Her husband actually found it for her.  He’s a keeper!

tst mysahmstylingPinYou can find Heather on instagram here.

A double owl macrame wall hanging with a touch of pink!  Yes please, Thrifted Riches.tst thriftedrichesPinYou can find Thrifted Riches on instagram here.

And last but not least, Vintage Parlor Originals scored some fab boho pillows… love!tst vintageparlororiginalsPinYou can find Vintage Parlor Originals on instagram here.

Now make sure you visit all of my cohosts to see their fun finds and features.

The shawl would look really pretty hung over a window a la valence style! It’ll help protect from accidentally getting stained in any way too since it’s white. I wants dibs before they go to sweet clover should that sweet daughter of yours happen to slip up hahahah

that was a thought i had but i am so anal when it comes to certain things- like my windows having the same treatment, and there are two windows. in her current space there’s one window so it would have worked in there!

Cassie, Thank you so much for your kind words 🙂 I need to come thrifting with you and Emmy, that elephant wall hanging is crazy good! I feel like my mom had a shawl like that, I might need to give her a call LOL.

Those boho pillows also caught my eye!
