Happy Thrift Score Thursday!

thrift score thursday11Pin

It’s that time of week that I love, where we get together and share our latest awesome finds!

We want you to participate! Hit up your local thrift stores, craigslist, yard sales, estate sales, side of the road, anything! Thrifty doesn’t necessarily mean from a thrift store. We want to see your good deals, wacky finds and treasures.

Don’t feel like you need to save those finds for Thursdays! Yes, features are shared on our blogs and Instagram on Thursdays, but we’re all checking in on (and using!) the hashtag all week long. So, when you see/find it, feel free to share it!

Each week, Trisha from Black and White Obsession, Cassie from Primitive and Proper,Corinna from For My Love Of, Brynne from The Gathered Home and a weekly guest co-host will pick a favorite thrift score or two to feature! So please note that by linking up with#thriftscorethursday, you are giving us permission to share your finds via social media or on our blogs.

This week we have Tiffany from My Eclectic Nest.  Be sure to check her out on istagram where she shows off her fun style!

So this past weekend, I decided to just hang out at home… it was just too cold and windy to head to the auction.  While I was home, I received a text from a close and very stylish friend who owns a very stylish shop….. “Do you want these?”  What I saw was a pair of vintage tulip chairs.  I texted back heart eye emojis for miles, obviously.  I grabbed my keys and headed out the door, no idea where I would even put said chairs.  They were slightly yellowed, she told me, but I didn’t care!

Once home, I played around with them and put them in my bedroom… One is next to my dresser as you can see here (and that maaaaaaaaay be snowballing into some other minor changes…)

And the other I placed in my desk nook.

Now for my features… There was a plethora of lovely finds this week, and it was hard to choose, but these all caught my eye.

First up is this dresser from Cacoandkai.  It’s an awesome campaign style dresser, but what sold me on featuring it was the caption of “#lifelongdream fulfilled!”  If that isn’t a happy caption, I don’t know what is.  This piece will spark their joy for a long time to come, I think.

tst cacoaandkaiPinYou can find Cacoandkai on instagram here.

Next up is this chair from CAD Interiors.  Carol found this chair with a great shape and dressed it up with beautiful textiles.  And can we talk about that ottoman?  Head over to her blog to see the rest of this space that has me drooling!tst cadinteriorsPinFind Carol on instagram here.

Jenn, owner of Suite 22 Antiques, found so many good things, that I had to narrow it down… I selected these sweet vintage deer as a favorite!  Because deer. (You can buy them here if you want them!)

And finally, these two chairs from Tracy’s Chic Vintage are the perfect holiday fireside chairs, aren’t they?  It’s too bad she had to catch & release, but that means someone can go get them!

Now go visit my cohosts to see their finds and features…

We would love to have you as a cohost!  Do you have a blog?  Yes!  Do you have instagram? Yes!  Are you a thrift ninja?  Yes!  If you answered yes to all of those WE WANT YOU!  Email me at [email protected] if you’d like to join us one week.

Don’t forget, next Thursday is Thanksgiving so we won’t be sharing thrift scores that day, but we will be back the following Thursday!  Until then, happy hunting!  And eating!

I am picturing you jumping around Rocky style after getting the text about the tulip chairs 😀 They’re awesome!!! Oh the snowball effect. I have one going on right now. I’m always happy in the end, but damn I’m frustrated when I’m in the middle of it.

I love the tulip chair in the desk nook with that crazy drapey plant – perfection! Some tulip chairs have been on my thrifting wish list for years, but I haven’t been lucky enough to score any yet! Fingers crossed one day!

Am realizing I live in wrong part of country. What I do find is way too expensive for my budget. People here seem to think they’re stuff, whatever it is has gold running thru it. Due to oil fields and oil workers altho not many right now due to gas being so low, many oil workers laid off. We live few miles west of Grand Junction, CO out in country.
Love those tulip chairs, what a deal, they both look great where you have them. You’ll be floating on air for while after that score.
The best score I’ve made for long time was few weeks ago at our Goodwill which tends to be high on prices. Found really nice white wicker night stand and white wicker nice sized mirror for $20 for both. This has got to be a mistake I thought when I found them. I grabbed them so quick, hubs thought was crazy. All we did was give both pieces quick paint job with white spray paint after hubs cleaned them up. still can’t believe my luck. Haven’t hung mirror yet but night stand is subbing in for end table in cottage living room. It’s a bit too wide for night stand in our room but works great in living room. So jazzed about both for that price.
I don’t get to go to Goodwill or other thrift stores as often as would like but try to make Goodwill on Wed. as often as possible for senior discount 15%. Scored great lamp last year for $3.50 and then spray painted it in white all over to cover brass parts. Score drum shades as often as I can find them there so will have a variety when I get urge to change. Thinking about covering shade with lace for while to lend more to cottage style. That means need to go digging in my stash to find lace.
i was enjoying seeing all the great finds, love it all, you gals have got the eye for great “treasures”. That’s why i have a shed full of “stuff” like to have things to change to when I get urge and get bored with what is in room for too long. That’s why don’t get to go to thrift stores as often, hubs grumbles about my junk, says he’s going to pitch it all. Oh no. Hope you all have wonderful Thanksgiving.

Gah those chairs!!!! I found a glorious lucite chair (perfect for my desk i may add) on clearance at Ikea a couple weekends ago. When downsizing our cart (and to fit everything in the car) sadly it got the nix. I still dream about that chair though… So glad you were able to scoop up your MCM beauties!!
