Happy Thrift Score Thursday!  I missed you all last week for my favorite hashtag #thriftscorethursday due to technical difficulties.

thrift score thursday11

If you are new here, let me explain just what #thriftscorethursday is.  We want you to participate! Hit up your local thrift stores, craigslist, yard sales, estate sales, side of the road, anything! Thrifty doesn’t necessarily mean from a thrift store. We want to see your good deals, wacky finds and treasures.

Don’t feel like you need to save those finds for Thursdays! Yes, features are shared on our blogs and Instagram on Thursdays, but we’re all checking in on (and using!) the hashtag all week long. So, when you see/find it, feel free to share it!

Each week, Trisha from Black and White Obsession, Cassie from Primitive and Proper, Corinna from For My Love Of, Brynne from The Gathered Home and a weekly guest co-host will pick a favorite thrift score or two to feature! So please note that by linking up with#thriftscorethursday, you are giving us permission to share your finds via social media or on our blogs.

I haven’t had much time or luck at the thrift shops lately, but I did come across a great little Mexican blanket a couple of weeks ago.  You see, I have this thing for Mexican blankets…

I found the green one at a yard sale a few years ago, and my mom gave me the middle one after a trip to California.  The latest addition is the one on the top!  After I cleared away all of the Christmas decor, I stacked them in my dining room on my cabinet for a little color and coziness.

I’d show you how they play off the color in the rest of the room, but our dining room is in post-birthday-lego-grand-hotel-building mode.

And baby gates are also a stylish new addition to the space thanks to a certain puppy…

I mean, look at that face!  You would totally put up tacky baby gates in your own home for this stinker, and you know it!

Anyhow, let’s check out my features this week!

Mandy scored these fun little brass colonial silhouettes and I love how she hung them over her door.

Angela scored this amazing candle holder- I have never seen one like it!  So dramatic and fun!

Francine, owner of Hot Cool Vintage, scored this amazing demijohn which is beautiful by itself, but it was her styling that really caught my eye.

And finally, Tiffany of My Eclectic Nest shared her collection of marble candleholders…. just love how they all look together with black candles!

thank you! she is doing ok- today with the snow not so well… and we really have to stay on top of her because she doesn’t signal us when she has to go. so we need to figure that part out- some way for her to tell us.

Oh man, I’ve been on the hunt for pretty blankets for the house forever and just cannot make up my mind. I’ve always grazed over the Mexican blankets because the texture gives me the heebie jeebies. However, they do look darn pretty, especially casually stacked on your cabinet. You may have converted me…
