Happy Thrift Score Thursday!

thrift score thursday11Pin

If you are new here, let me explain just what #thriftscorethursday is.  We want you to participate! Hit up your local thrift stores, craigslist, yard sales, estate sales, side of the road, anything! Thrifty doesn’t necessarily mean from a thrift store. We want to see your good deals, wacky finds and treasures.

Don’t feel like you need to save those finds for Thursdays! Yes, features are shared on our blogs and Instagram on Thursdays, but we’re all checking in on (and using!) the hashtag all week long. So, when you see/find it, feel free to share it!  And we love it when you tag your friends to play along, too!

Each week, Trisha from Black and White Obsession, Cassie from Primitive and Proper, Corinna from For My Love Of, Brynne from The Gathered Home and a weekly guest co-host will pick a favorite thrift score or two to feature! So please note that by linking up with#thriftscorethursday, you are giving us permission to share your finds via social media or on our blogs.

Now, you know I love thrifting or I wouldn’t be hosting this weekly gig, now would I?  I’ve recently reached out to some friends to help me with my finds for Sweet Clover since I’ve been busy, snowed in, and just don’t want to spend time out hunting sometimes…. it happens!  So this find came to me from a friend, along with a few other things.  She found me some great pieces, and this vintage Underwood typewriter was my favorite of the bunch.

Isn’t it a beauty!  It brings back memories… I am so old that I recall my mom helping me do all f my college applications on a typewriter.  It wasn’t one this old, but every time I see a type writer, that’s what I think of!  And white out.  Oh the white out!  These young whipper snappers don’t know how easy they have it. 😉

Now for my features…

Shannon found these stacks of books in my favorite colors and an awesome crochet bedspread and then she staged them so beautifully for this shot.

Maria‘s always got fabulously eclectic finds, and this portrait caught my eye (along with everything else in this photo!). tst mariaski63PinYou can find Maria on instagram here.

Now this is my favorite this week… because a dog in a fancy suit.  Dee, I just love this quirky find!

And finally, the magic of the unicorn gets me every time, but this one’s a needlepoint unicorn and such a beauty! Jami found this piece and will be using it in my her daughter’s bedroom.

That’s it for my features this week- be sure to visit my cohosts to see their finds and features as well by clicking on the images below.

I’m obsessed with the dog portrait! I’ve been wanting one in that style for my dogs for ages. And love Maria’s finds as well! So good.

Haven’t seen a typewriter that old in ages. It’s a real find and treasure. Lucky owner. Bet it weighs a ton too. Be careful moving it if you do. Enjoy your treasure, will be great part of an arrangement. Where will you keep it?
Enjoy and hope you have wonderful weekend

That is the coolest typewriter I’ve ever seen! I don’t think I’ve seen one (online or irl) like it before.

What an absolutely beautiful find Cassie!! I have fond memories of listening to my pops tap away preparing his weekly budget. Thankfully I didn’t need to use a typewriter for anything but leisure however, I did have to use those old pesky printers where you had to line the darn holes up and rip them off before handing in your paper.
