Happy Thrift Score Thursday! If you are new here, let me explain just what #thriftscorethursday is. We want you to participate! Hit up your local thrift stores, craigslist, yard sales, estate sales, side of the road, anything! Thrifty doesn’t necessarily mean from a thrift store. We want to see your good deals, wacky finds and treasures.
Don’t feel like you need to save those finds for Thursdays! Yes, features are shared on our blogs and Instagram on Thursdays, but we’re all checking in on (and using!) the hashtag all week long. So, when you see/find it, feel free to share it! And we love it when you tag your friends to play along, too!
Each week Brynne from The Gathered Home, Cassie from Primitive and Proper, Corinna from For A Designer at Home, Maggie from Maggie Overby Studios, and once monthly a guest co-host will pick a favorite thrift score or two to feature! So please note that by linking up with#thriftscorethursday, you are giving us permission to share your finds via social media or on our blogs.
This week I have yet another vintage typewriter to share with you. (You might recall the Underwood from February). Saturday morning Emmy and I hit a few yard sales and she pointed this typewriter out to me and thought I should get it. I am honestly not much of a vintage typewriter girl, but because Emmy saw the value in it, and is learning, I decided to go for it, and it turned out to be a key element of our Crafting with Nature display at Sweet Clover. I printed out a paper with details and staged it in the typewriter.
It really works so perfectly as it relays the necessary information about the book signing Saturday to our customers, but also fits in with the fact that our guest is an author.
And not to mention the typewriter is pretty sweet to look at as well, and is in working order
Now let me share my features this week with you./
Jen‘s style always wows me. I am digging her thrifted straw tote! I recently found a basket with a lid that is similar in style, and it’s been hiding out in my garage awaiting inspiration.

Elkee found this amazing piece of fence and I love how she has it styled here. And I need a letterboard. You can find Elkee on instagram here.
Dena proved that sometimes it’s not just the find but what you do with it… She crafted this beautiful Spring dress from thrifted sheets! You can find Dena on instagram here.
Sara scored an awesome teak screen for $7 and it couldn’t look more perfect here. She just needs to convince her husband.

Regina found an awesome demijohn; I love the cut class as well as her styling with blossoming branches. You can find Regina on instagram here.
Melissa showed off a perfectly styled vignette with several thrifted pieces, including the console that caught my eye. She’s also a talented artist and created the piece sitting on top.You can find Melissa on instagram here.
Mila at Jestcafe showed off her One Room Challenge kids space last week, and I was utterly blown away. When I saw she tagged this chair for #thriftscorethursday, I was stoked to feature her.

And finally, my very own business partner, Sarah, finally hopped on the TST train when she showed off this painting she bought me for my birthday her house. Isn’t it awesome? You can find Sarah on instagram here.
And now make sure you visit my cohosts to see what they have found and featured this week.
And with that I am off to Sweet Clover to work for the next few days while we are open this weekend! Come and see me… and take home a typewriter or book! 😉
