It’s Thriftscore Thursday!

thrift score thursday11Pin

If you are new here, let me explain just what #thriftscorethursday is.  We want you to participate! Hit up your local thrift stores, craigslist, yard sales, estate sales, side of the road, anything! Thrifty doesn’t necessarily mean from a thrift store. We want to see your good deals, wacky finds and treasures.

Don’t feel like you need to save those finds for Thursdays! Yes, features are shared on our blogs and Instagram on Thursdays, but we’re all checking in on (and using!) the hashtag all week long. So, when you see/find it, feel free to share it!  And we love it when you tag your friends to play along, too!

Each week, Trisha from Black and White Obsession, Cassie from Primitive and Proper, Corinna from For My Love Of, Brynne from The Gathered Home and a weekly guest co-host will pick a favorite thrift score or two to feature! So please note that by linking up with#thriftscorethursday, you are giving us permission to share your finds via social media or on our blogs.

This week I have a super exciting find!  Well, at least exciting for this girl.  After Christmas I started thinking we needed a narrower coffee table- 2 adults, 2 kids, and 3 dogs roaming around our living room quickly made the space feel cramped.  Of course I didn’t jump at the first things that came to mind, because I knew that the right table would eventually come to me, even if it required patience.  In the mean time I started moving some other things around in the space, emptying the bookcases which will head to Sawyer’s room, etc.  Well I was browsing an online auction I frequent and came across a set of vintage glass waterfall nesting tables with a coffee table!  I placed my bid and waited…. fingers crossed.  As luck would have it, no one bid against me!  I think with this particular auction, the customers don’t love MCM like I do which can work in my favor.  I won all of it at a great price!

With all of the snow we had pick up times had to be rescheduled and I couldn’t make it, but my husband loves me so much that he went and grabbed them for me, even though he thinks they are “weird.”  Whatever, Chris. 😉

I cleaned off the coffee table and brought it into the living room, with Chris’ help of course, as it’s a heavy beast!

Like I said, the room is a current work in progress in creating more space for our family, and I need to get Sawyer’s room painted and ready for the bookcases so for now they sit empty.  Please, no shelfies.

I was a little nervous about bringing in an all glass table, but it’s as thick and sturdy as they come. This table is made by Artedi.  I couldn’t find much online about it, but it appears to be from possibly the 70’s, and similar pieces go for $600 all the way up to $3000, so that’s exciting!  On the Artedi website, you can’t even see the price and have to request a brochure…. that’s always a signal to me that something is too rich for my blood.

I am loving the lightness this table brings to the space!  And now I have to find a home for the nesting tables… I don’t know if I have a place for them so they may head to Sweet Clover.

Now let me share some of your amazing finds!  I have a lot of features this week… I couldn’t help myself because I was drooling over everything!  I think I need to get out more.

Brittany‘s husband found this adorable little dresser that worked perfectly in their entry.  I am always a sucker for teardrop hardware!

tst brittkingeryPinYou can find Brittany on instagram here.

Doug scored these awesome brass trays- the bamboo look always gets me!  That big one would look awesome on my new coffee table… just sayin’.  Doug’s entire feed is made up of great finds that I want.  Why you gotta be so far away, Doug?

Jen posted a plethora of fabulous finds to make any vintage lover green with envy… in a good way!  I am also cheering her on and just spitting jealous venom under my breath. 😉  These vases (pronounced with a hard “A”) are stunning!  Black- check!  Stripes- check!  Brass- check!  Awesome- check!tst jenc14PinYou can find Jen on instagram here.

Maggie is a thrifting pro… She’s been a guest here a few times and with good reason!  She found this bed and thought it wouldn’t work for her.  But then decided to get a new mattress anyhow and upgraded to a king… and low and behold the bed was still available.  It was meant to be!  I can’t wait to see it in her space!

tst maggieoverbyPinYou can find Maggie on instagram here.

This light fixture Rafael found is amazing!  I love the shape and vintage detail!

tst soletosharePinYou can find Rafael on instagram here.

Alice shared a sweet corner of her new bedroom featuring this thrifted and fabulous chair.

And last but not least from Thrifted Riches... this vintage velvet tufted sofa has got my boho loving heart a pitter-pattering.tst thriftedrichesPinYou can find Thrifted Riches on instagram here.

Now be sure to visit my cohosts this week to see what they’ve found and featured as well!

Love your table! I’ve been stalking one just like it on Craigslist, but the bf doesn’t understand the awesomeness of it. Plus we don’t reeeallly need a new coffee table right now.

Gorgeous table, totally jealous. I looked for one last year, could’t find it. You may already know this, but do not let anyone sit on it — I have read some horror stories. It seems so sturdy and sometimes people forget that it is, after all, glass!

YES- there is no way i would let anyone sit on it!! dangerous to them because a) broken glass and b) they would deal with my wrath.

Was so surprised when I came upon your table thinking it was wood waterfall table from 30’s and 40’s. I’d say definitely your awesome table is from 70’s. Were you even alive then? I have to think of that as since I’m such an old lady (75) I forget some of you gals weren’t born til 80’s. Our daughter (the youngest of our 4) was born in 1970. My 3 older kids are all boomers, they don’t like it when I tell them that.
That table ought to last you way past time you get tired of it. So much of that style is coming back in on trend again. Things always seem to cycle back, one version or another. Find it quite interesting how trends evolve.
Your new table looks great with your sofa. Enjoy it. Happy weekend
