It’s Thriftscore Thursday!
If you are new here, let me explain just what #thriftscorethursday is. We want you to participate! Hit up your local thrift stores, craigslist, yard sales, estate sales, side of the road, anything! Thrifty doesn’t necessarily mean from a thrift store. We want to see your good deals, wacky finds and treasures.
Don’t feel like you need to save those finds for Thursdays! Yes, features are shared on our blogs and Instagram on Thursdays, but we’re all checking in on (and using!) the hashtag all week long. So, when you see/find it, feel free to share it! And we love it when you tag your friends to play along, too!
Each week, Trisha from Black and White Obsession, Cassie from Primitive and Proper, Corinna from For My Love Of, Brynne from The Gathered Home and a weekly guest co-host will pick a favorite thrift score or two to feature! So please note that by linking up with#thriftscorethursday, you are giving us permission to share your finds via social media or on our blogs.
This week I have a super exciting find! Well, at least exciting for this girl. After Christmas I started thinking we needed a narrower coffee table- 2 adults, 2 kids, and 3 dogs roaming around our living room quickly made the space feel cramped. Of course I didn’t jump at the first things that came to mind, because I knew that the right table would eventually come to me, even if it required patience. In the mean time I started moving some other things around in the space, emptying the bookcases which will head to Sawyer’s room, etc. Well I was browsing an online auction I frequent and came across a set of vintage glass waterfall nesting tables with a coffee table! I placed my bid and waited…. fingers crossed. As luck would have it, no one bid against me! I think with this particular auction, the customers don’t love MCM like I do which can work in my favor. I won all of it at a great price!
With all of the snow we had pick up times had to be rescheduled and I couldn’t make it, but my husband loves me so much that he went and grabbed them for me, even though he thinks they are “weird.” Whatever, Chris. 😉
I cleaned off the coffee table and brought it into the living room, with Chris’ help of course, as it’s a heavy beast!
Like I said, the room is a current work in progress in creating more space for our family, and I need to get Sawyer’s room painted and ready for the bookcases so for now they sit empty. Please, no shelfies.
I was a little nervous about bringing in an all glass table, but it’s as thick and sturdy as they come. This table is made by Artedi. I couldn’t find much online about it, but it appears to be from possibly the 70’s, and similar pieces go for $600 all the way up to $3000, so that’s exciting! On the Artedi website, you can’t even see the price and have to request a brochure…. that’s always a signal to me that something is too rich for my blood.
I am loving the lightness this table brings to the space! And now I have to find a home for the nesting tables… I don’t know if I have a place for them so they may head to Sweet Clover.
Now let me share some of your amazing finds! I have a lot of features this week… I couldn’t help myself because I was drooling over everything! I think I need to get out more.

Maggie is a thrifting pro… She’s been a guest here a few times and with good reason! She found this bed and thought it wouldn’t work for her. But then decided to get a new mattress anyhow and upgraded to a king… and low and behold the bed was still available. It was meant to be! I can’t wait to see it in her space!
