It’s Thrift Score Thursday!  It was nice to have the last two weeks, off, but we’re back sharing our thrifty finds.  I wasn’t sure what I would share since I hadn’t done any thrift shopping over the break, but Sunday I hit a favorite antique mall with a friend and found something fabulous!

thrift score thursday11

If you are new here, let me explain just what #thriftscorethursday is.  We want you to participate! Hit up your local thrift stores, craigslist, yard sales, estate sales, side of the road, anything! Thrifty doesn’t necessarily mean from a thrift store. We want to see your good deals, wacky finds and treasures.

Don’t feel like you need to save those finds for Thursdays! Yes, features are shared on our blogs and Instagram on Thursdays, but we’re all checking in on (and using!) the hashtag all week long. So, when you see/find it, feel free to share it!

Each week, Trisha from Black and White Obsession, Cassie from Primitive and Proper,Corinna from For My Love Of, Brynne from The Gathered Home and a weekly guest co-host will pick a favorite thrift score or two to feature! So please note that by linking up with#thriftscorethursday, you are giving us permission to share your finds via social media or on our blogs.

This week we are excited to have Crystal from Clear Cut Crystal here as our guest host!  You can find her fabulous self on instagram here.

Let me get to my find for the week… I have been wanting to “winterize” our master bedroom and reeeeeeaaaaaalllllly wanted this beautiful Pendleton blanket, but it was not in the budget.  Not even close, really.  So I put the idea away, and went on my merry way.  Well, Sunday, a good friend asked me if I wanted to hit one of the antique malls near us, so I said sure!  I had been a lazy bum all day so I knew it would be good to get out of the house.  Emmy came with me, and we walked one aisle before my friend got there.  And in that one aisle I found my treasure- a fabulous gray vintage wool blanket for just $26!  It’s actually very similar to this one on Amazon for about the same price.  I brought it home and put it in my room and I love it!

Gray Wool blanket on bed- modern boho chicIt’s such a nice weight and has been great this week with temps dipping around 10 degrees at night.

I brought in some extra gray buffalo check Ikea pillows I had on hand.

gray wool blanket on bed I do want to change out the duvet for now as well and neutralize the room a little more for the season.  I’ve also restyled my dresser a little bit lately to fit the mood I want… of course I did that two months ago, just haven’t shared yet.  My glass head is wearing a matching hat- gray felted wool!

Dresser Styling- Boho modern

This blanket is simple and just the perfect touch for how I am feeling right now.

And now to show off my features this week!

Suzy from Wink Wink Studio scored this gorgeous blanket and has a blanket obsession like I do!  I actually picked up another one yesterday. If you are cold, just come see me or Suzy to be wrapped in warmth and style!

I love this Indian style mirror that Kim from Reposhture scored!  I wonder if she will be selling it in her shop.

How beautiful is this entire space from Gloria Joy? I mean…. modern romance, right?  Her score is that sweet little peach framed shell which completes her vignette beautifully.tst gloriajoyYou can find Gloria Joy on instagram here.

Elizabeth Rose Designs shared this beautiful image, and I love the gorgeous black vase she scored for just a dollar!

My TST cohost, Brynne, found these beautiful bentwood chairs, and I do love my bentwoods.  I love the shape of these! I don’t know what it is but these guys always make my heart sing.

Now be sure to check out my cohosts to see what they’ve found and featured this week!

I found a vintage wool blanket at an estate sale – put it on our bed and it is SO warm! The kids now each want one on their beds.

Love the more muted color palette in your bedroom! That blanket is such a find! And hey – thanks for including my chairs this week! They were snapped up on Craigslist almost immediately and helped cover the cost of our New Years + Bryan’s birthday celebrations 😀 Can’t beat that!

CAAAAAASSSSSIE! Thank you not only for the highlight of the mirror, which I am NEVER selling, but also thank yo so much for mentioning my little shop and for including a link to the FB page. You are truly sweet and too generous. thank you again. The dresser looks super cool btw, love the clear head! I would fill it up with random notes just to be funny and see in later years. I could then say” Just a thought I pulled out of my head!” I know geeky.

I found an awesome Pendleton blanket a few years ago, but it’s been chewed some. I am hoping to make a few things out of it this winter, after I felt it.

I LOVE, LOVE the wool blanket! The dresser looks great too. I too have been feeling like simplifying the house lately. I don’t know if it’s because I start to feel crowded with the Christmas decorations or what, but this happens to me every January!
