Happy Thrift Score Thursday!

thrift score thursday11If you are new here, let me explain just what #thriftscorethursday is.  We want you to participate! Hit up your local thrift stores, craigslist, yard sales, estate sales, side of the road, anything! Thrifty doesn’t necessarily mean from a thrift store. We want to see your good deals, wacky finds and treasures.

Don’t feel like you need to save those finds for Thursdays! Yes, features are shared on our blogs and Instagram on Thursdays, but we’re all checking in on (and using!) the hashtag all week long. So, when you see/find it, feel free to share it!  And we love it when you tag your friends to play along, too!

Each week, Trisha from Black and White Obsession, Cassie from Primitive and Proper, Corinna from For My Love Of, Brynne from The Gathered Home and a weekly guest co-host will pick a favorite thrift score or two to feature! So please note that by linking up with#thriftscorethursday, you are giving us permission to share your finds via social media or on our blogs.

This week I’m sharing a collection of thrifted woven finds we’ve staged at Sweet Clover.  Sarah and I always crack up because somehow we are always on the same page and show up bringing the same types of pieces, which works well for our staging!  Just yesterday I told her I’d make some boho dream catchers for this weekend’s sale so we could set up a boho style wedding out front… She texted me shortly after and had made one, too!  We also speak in unison sometimes.  A lot of the times.  It’s scary if you don’t know us.  And maybe scarier if you do. 😉  Anyhow, here are our woven goodies.  I found the basket in back, picnic basket, woven vase, and the piece in the back.  Sarah found the hurricane glass, and the straw flat baskets, which probably have a technical name that I am not aware of.

We placed them at the foot of a black bed I painted a while ago.  Inside the bed we staged some gorgeous chairs from Sarah Dorsey.

it’s amazing how a collection can certainly make an object more visually appealing.  Of course, there is the line of “too much” and you don’t want to go there.

Now let’s check out my favorites this week!

Cate from Style Mutt Home shared this amazing dresser she scored!  And I love how she staged it- I am smitten with the artwork, too!

Diana found this beautiful moroccan rug and you have got to see how it looks in her home! (BTW, her home was featured on Design Sponge recently- this gal has style!)

Erin found this great little midcentury sliding door credenza and gave it a fresh coat of white.  Now it’s perfect in her home!

Sarah Dorsey scored this fabulous Eames chair, and now I am wondering why I didn’t see it on Craigslist first! 😉  Kidding!  We’re practically neighbors but I am lazy about shopping craigslist these days.

And finally, this was a new to me instagram account, and I loved the lamp that Things I Hoard That I Love was showing off, but the entire space really caught my eye from the artwork to the indigo!

That’s it!  Now be sure to visit my cohosts to see what they have found and featured this week.  Poor Trisha‘s been taken down with a stomach bug but hopes to be back next week!

We will be back next week for a very special 100th Thrift Score Thursday!  Until then, happy hunting!

Yes, a collection of similar things is always so pretty and appealing! I love all the wicker! If there’s one thing I haven’t really added to my decor, it’s basketry.. I have no idea why! I usually glance at the basket section at the thrift store but everything looks so hopelessly “country” or outdated… I’ll have to try harder to spot the gems! 🙂

Thanks for sharing! 🙂 David constantly searches for Eames on CL and finally found one! We almost lost it, but luckily the person in front of us backed out!
