Traditions

Today, I am over at one of my favorite new blogs. Turnstyle Vogue, talking about some of my favorite holiday traditions.  Ironically, Sawyer is at school today giving a presentation on our family traditions as well. πŸ™‚  His goes something like this….

“For Christmas, our family has a lot of traditions.  We go to see the trains and I get to pick an ornament.  We make peanut butter balls.  Emmy and I wear matching pajamas.  These are our traditions.”

Hey, what do you want for a first grade presentation??   I will give you a little hint of what I am talking about- one that Sawyer mentioned, too!

Hope you will hop over and see me and check out Shari’s awesome blog while you are there…. she is SUPER talented and has been featured over here a couple of times with her amazing furniture makeovers!

I love Christmas PJs! I get them every year for the kids. The embarrassing thing is that my Mom still does it for us grown kids too and give them to use Chrismas Eve. I still love it!

so cute! WE have elves that come by Christmas Eve while we are out and leave the boys Christmas PJ’s. It started when I was a little girl and now that I have my own kids it’s been passed on. It’s been an almost 30 year tradition!
    Happy holidays!

So cute! We have a tradition of giving Christmas books to the kids on Christmas eve. That way, when they grow up, they will have a collection to read to their kids! And, of course, we read the books on Christmas eve. Sometimes the older boys get older boy books and sometimes they get little kid books…just depends on how mom feels that year!

I love the matching jamies idea! We do the same thing here except the boys are going through a stage of sleeping in their undies. TMI? πŸ™‚

That photo is so adorable! My sister and I had matching pjs for Christmas. We always looked forward to it. Sawyer’s presentation sounds darling. I think it is wonderful to keep Christmas traditions going.
