The Walk of the Scarecrows, and Some Randomness

Yesterday was a fabulous day!  It began with like most mornings these with my walk with Jake the wonder dog.  It’s staying dark longer lately in the mornings, and it’s so peaceful to walk and catch just the faint silhouettes of the deer.  When I returned home, we fed the kids and got Sawyer off to school. (By the way, thank you to all who have asked, Sawyer has adjusted beautifully and is doing great in his new school!)

I made coffee and relaxed for a bit while Emmy colored and we awaited the arrival of my friend Sarah and her daughter, Olivia, who is adorable!!!  Sarah was SO sweet and brought me a housewarming gift!  It was adorable!  She upcycled this awesome tray for me (I have it on display at my coffee station), and it was filled with all sorts of coffee and hot cocoa goodness!

Olivia and Emmy played beautifully, the conversation flowed, and we are looking forward to getting together again soon!  Sarah is a sweetheart who I met through blogging, and now that I live closer to her I will get to see her more often!

When Sawyer got off the bus, I decided we would take a drive to Middletown to walk up and down Main St. and see all the fabulous scarecrows and houses decorated for the season.  There were a total of 47 different scarecrows!  I will spare you that many pictures and share a few of my favorites.  Pardon my kids- they were having too much fun being goofballs and posing with the scarecrows!

These houses were not really decorated much, but I love their architecture!

Middletown looks adorable. It kind of reminds me of Cooperstown, NY. Ever been there? Those scarecrows are above and beyond, too! And, well, your kids are always adorable.

What a fun day. I have never seen scarecrows like that. Thanks for sharing. My mom always put out this one on her porch she had named OJ for some reason. He always held a beer can in his hand….she was silly. Love the photos of the kids. The are too cute. Your son looks so much like you. I am glad he is doing well.
