Happy Monday! I am going to keep this short on words, long on pictures, because I am pooped! This weekend was a crazy whirlwind of action and a complete blast! Thought I would share with you some peeks into it…
Friday night was Chinese themed family fun night at the neighbors, and also the night that Kelly and Denise were arriving…. being overly ambitious I decided to try my hand at chinese donuts for the first time while I awaited their arrival.
My taste testers…. I think you can tell they were a hit!
Kelly brought me some new art for my dining room gallery wall, and an awesome vintage owl ice bucket! (I have the matching tray and she had no idea- too funny!)
Saturday morning I was the first to arrive at Sweet Clover…. the sun was shining, (Although it was ridiculously windy!) and the crafty camper was ready for action!
The vendors arrived, Denise and Kelly arrived, and craziness ensued! It was super busy! I intended to take real photos of Denise at work, but I had to snap quick phone shots instead when I had a chance. Here is Denise teaching how to make animal keychains and necklaces. She made me an adorable necklace with….. wait for it…. a deer! 😉 I love it! I forgot to snap a picture of it!
Outside, artisan vendors were set up selling their handmade goods. They all arrived with tents, but the wind was so strong that we had to resort to plan B. A couple of vendors ended up with broken tents, and I felt horrible, but I can’t control the weather…. If I could this winter wouldn’t have been as long!
The second class Denise taught was paper flowers. These were adorable! I’ve never made them before, but would love to try it!
Kirby also drove up from NC to make a visit! I always love seeing Kirby and sharing laughs with her.
We joked when Kirby arrived that it was now officially a blogger event because we had 5 of us there….Pictured from left to right: Kirby, Kelly, Sarah, Denise, me (and yes I am wearing a puffy winter coat. Warmth over fashion any day).
After the work day was over, I picked up Kirby at her hotel and we headed downtown for dinner at Acacia. We had such a great time just talking about life. I loved this quote at the top of the menu and felt it suited me to a tee. Oh, and I had the Brussels Sprouts and the Season’s Harvest (vegetable dish). YUM. If you haven’t been to Acacia, it’s one of my favorites!
Yesterday I was sooooooo tired, but this guy kept whining for me to wake up already!
Once I got moving, I took my favorite girl to the outlets for some Spring clothes shopping and new running shoes for me! Emmy had a BLAST. She was like Katherine Heigl in 27 dresses in the fitting room…. dancing with each new outfit on!
And I couldn’t resist these adorable outfits for my new twin nephews, coming soon!
I also bought these adorable whale lovies for them at our outdoor market from Mayberry and Main.
And one more purchase- I purchased this adorable vintage painting from The Crafty Camper! 🙂 I brought it home for Emmy and we added it to her room. Daisies are my favorite flower, so I thought it was special.
And finally, I wanted to let you know that I am participating in a Spring Parade of Homes with several amazing bloggers this week!
Since it has JUST started warming up here, I am promising mine will be only vaguely Spring-ish…. I’m trying! 😉
Here is a little preview of the week ahead, followed by links at the bottom! Be sure to visit today’s featured homes for some Spring inspiration!
Have fun checking them all out! Now I am off for more fun…. taxes. Monday Monday.
