See, I have nothing to say for a few days, and then BAM! A lot to say! This weekend has been wonderful so far. It started with my monthly Friday Night Wine & Design. We repeated an old theme of Mod Podge! Everyone worked on something different and unique.
Renee worked on these cute and beachy switch plate covers… Aren’t they pretty?
Amy worked on these adorable little boxes she is using as gifts.. lucky recipients!
Andi created this birdie Mod Podged monogram. I love the birdies- so cute and vintagey!
Then at Wine and Design, I mod podged a sun on it using scrapbook paper, and painted one of Emmy’s favorite sayings on it, “Rise & Shine!”
Jamie (who is freaking hilarious by the way) worked on putting photos of her children on canvas and framing the edges with scrapbook paper and using some paint to give the edges a distressed look. We all ooh-ed and aah-ed over these!
And my crochet-happy friend, Tracy, worked on a beautiful soft blue baby blanket. This is one talented and patiend lady!
The weekend fun continued as my mom and I went out for a full day shopping excursion. We started at The Old Lucketts Store where I totally scored with this bench!!!! It is industrial and awesome, and I have been wanting one forever to use possible as a coffee table. For now it’s on my deck and I plan to refinish the top. And for now I don’t really have a place for it, but it was one of those awesome pieces that would haunt me if I didn’t purchase it… and how could I pass it up when it was $98? Seriously- I thought that was a steal for this piece! See?
I looooove it!
Tomorrow the fun continues as I head to my parent’s for lunch with my mom and a friend, and then my dad is going to help me repair a bowfront dresser drawer bottom. And just so you don’t think I am being selfish with all the me time this weekend, Chris and the kids are away at the moment. So I am relaxing and having a blast with people I love! No news yet on the house. Boo.
So, let’s see some of the awesome projects you linked up this week…
This Audrey Hepburn dresser from Dreaming in Color blew me away! I love the colors and funky style. And who doesn’t love Audrey Hepburn?
Love love love this fun orange table from Art is Beauty! And I may have an orange project to share soon, too. Just sayin’.
